About vegan proteins and what Sabrina from @berosa_gogreen and Helga from @travelling_vet say about this topic!

Did you know that our Verival Athletics Range contains native plant proteins and what makes vegan proteins so special? Find out in this blog post and read about what Sabrina from @berosa_gogreen and Helga from @travelling_vet think about vegan proteins.

What makes vegan proteins so special?

Proteins are essential nutrients for the human body, needed for growth and maintenance. Aside from water, proteins are the most abundant kind of molecules in the body. Protein can be found in all cells of the body and is the major structural component of all cells in the body, especially of our muscle cells.

There is a wide range of food options available that contain proteins. These include both animal products such as meat, dairy products, fish and eggs as well as plant-based products like grains, legumes and nuts. When it comes to proteins, there are many different vegan options. Eating a well-balanced vegan diet full of vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds will provide you with plenty of protein for the average person.

But why use vegan protein? A vegan diet can help against inflammations and pain. Plant-based proteins are also the more ethical and sustainable choice. It takes a lot of less fuel, water and land to produce plant-based proteins than it takes to produce animal-based ones.
