Savoury porridge - what is that?

We admit it: Savoury porridge is by far not as well known and widespread as its sweet big brother. The savoury porridge may not be suitable for breakfast for everyone. So it's all the better that there are at least a dozen other situations in which Pumpkin-Tomato Porridge is just right. For example, as a quick and yet healthy dinner. Or as a healthy snack between meals. Or as a side dish. Or as an addition to a deliciously light lunch bowl. Just give it a try!

What other savoury porridge varieties are available from Verival?

In addition to many sweet and fruity oatmeal varieties, we have also developed two savoury varieties: the Pumpkin-Tomato Porridge and the Broccoli Porridge with pine nuts.

What is oat bran and what advantages does it have?

Unlike oat flakes, oat bran does not consist of the whole oat grain, but only of the outer layers and the germ of the grain. This means that oat bran contains higher amounts of the soluble fibre beta-glucan, which keeps you full for a long time.

What is beta-glucan and why is it good for me?

Beta-glucan is a fibre with a special effect. A daily dose of 3 g of beta-glucan has been shown to reduce blood cholesterol levels and has many health benefits. One of the most important sources of beta-glucan is oats. One portion of porridge (50g) provides 1.67g of beta-glucan and therefore provides you with half your daily requirement of beta-glucan.

Why is porridge considered a healthy breakfast?

Porridge is characterized above all by its high value in fibre, which helps your digestion and keeps your blood sugar level constant. Porridge also contains important minerals, vitamins and proteins. By eating 50g of porridge for breakfast, you cover 60% of your daily magnesium requirements and 30% of your vitamin B1 requirements.

herzhaft lecker

Auch ich war skeptisch und wollte trotzdem das Herzhafte probieren, insbesondere die Kombination aus Kübris und Tomate weckte meinen Entdecker- und Testdrang. Ich wurde wirklich positiv überrascht! DIESES herzhafte Porridge zur Mittagszeit ist eine wirkliche Alternative zu meinem bisherigen Bircher Porridge. Super lecker, kann ich nur empfehlen! Da muss ich einfach mehr davon haben.

Ich war skeptisch da ich bisher nur süße Porridges kannte, herzhaft konnte ich mir nicht vorstellen.
Jetzt bin ich aber begeistert. Vom Geschmack her wie eine leckere Tomatensuppe. Ich werde mir auf jeden Fall mehr davon bestellen!

mal was anderes

hab mir eigentlich nichts erwartet weil ich immer gedacht habe Porridge muss süß schmecken, aber war sehr positiv überrascht schmeckt extrem gut und ist eine coole Alternative. Ich bestelle sicher noch einmal
