How do I prepare the Classic Porridge?
Preparing the porridge base mix is a piece of cake: Simply pour 50 g of base mix (6 tablespoons) in a bowl and stir in approx. 140 ml (depending on the desired consistency) of boiling water or 120 ml of hot milk/milk alternative. Allow to swell for 3 minutes and serve with fresh fruit, nuts, maple syrup, nut butter or other toppings you like. For "Overnight Oats" use a little more cold water or cold milk and leave the porridge to soak overnight in the fridge. Decorate with toppings of your choice in the morning and enjoy. What are the ingredients of the Verival Classic Porridge?
Our porridge base mix consists of 84% gluten free, ground oat flakes. Oats contain a lot of dietary fibre, such as beta-glucan, which has been proven to lower the cholesterol level in the blood if consumed in sufficient quantities. In addition, oat flakes as well sunflower seeds, which we also added to the recipe, are a great source of vegetable protein.
But what makes our porridge base so special and distinguishes it from others are the psyllium husks, which are still relatively unknown and greatly underestimated in this part of the world. Due to their extremely high fibre content and swelling volume, they are among the best fillers around and are therefore the ideal addition to a healthy breakfast. In addition, psyllium husks contribute in a mild but effective way to a well-functioning digestion. They also have a positive effect on the consistency of the porridge - their strong swelling in combination with liquid makes for a wonderfully creamy porridge.
The last ingredient, puffed amaranth, is a wonderful gluten free cereal that brings a pleasant, slightly nutty flavour to our Classic Porridge.
What other porridge varieties are there in the Verival range?

Obwohl der Porridge ziemlich simpel gehalten ist, schmeckt er so gut! Bananen, Erdbeeren und Nüsse drüber und schon ist er fertig - ess ich gerade jeden Tag zum Frühstück :)
Ich mag getrocknete Früchte nicht so gern und mache Porridge deshalb am liebsten selbst. Diese Porridge-Basis ist perfekt! Tolle Aufwertung "normaler" Haferflocken, super Konsistenz und man kommt ewig damit aus. :)
