Powerfood oats
The regional superfood is full of beta-glucans, which lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels. In addition, oats contain many vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, iron, potassium and B vitamins.

Nutrient-rich hazelnuts
Hazelnuts strengthen the heart and blood vessels, lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure and have a positive effect on memory. They also provide many important minerals, have a relatively high fibre content and are a good source of vegetable protein.

Apples - high in vitamins
Apples are true vitamin bombs. They activate your metabolism, regulate blood lipids and cholesterol, and are rich in various vitamins such as potassium and magnesium.

Heritage Grains - The Verival recultivation project
With our grain recultivation project, we have been committed for many years to increase high-quality heritage grain varieties such as einkorn, emmer, spelt, rye and oats.
Old corn varieties have been largely spared from yield-enhancing breeding measures, which means they are particularly well tolerated by the human organism. They have a higher protein content, contain more minerals and more carotenoids. This is why we have chosen these grains as the basis for the recipe of our Heritage Grains Mueslis.

The future belongs to recycling
We are convinced of this. After all, the aim must be to extend the life cycle of existing materials as much as possible so that fewer resources are needed to produce new materials. This is why we focus on recyclability in our packaging and are pleased that our breakfast products have been awarded the "Made for Recycling" certificate. You can find out more about packaging on our social responsibility page.

360° Social Responsibility
We have been making organic breakfast for more than 30 years - and are one of Austria's absolute organic pioneers. Respectful treatment of people and the environment is therefore our highest priority. For this reason, we have committed ourselves to a 360° Social Responsibility Model, which revolves around these 5 points:
- Focus on small organic farms
- Enhancing biodiversity
- Sustainable packaging
- Support for environmentally friendly and healthy nutrition
- Promotion of diversity and women in management positions
Frequently asked questions
Is muesli healthy?
Yes, as long as you pay attention to the right ingredients. Oatmeal is the perfect base for your muesli, as it is made up of many soluble fibres called beta-glucans. They lower blood and cholesterol levels and ensure that you feel full for a long time. Berries provide your body with many important vitamins and minerals. Nuts, seeds and kernels are the ideal supplement for a healthy muesli, also contain many vitamins and are an excellent source of vegetable protein.
What is beta-glucan and why is it good for me?
Beta-glucan is a fibre with a special effect. A daily dose of 3g of beta-glucan has been shown to reduce blood cholesterol levels and has many health benefits. One of the main sources of beta-glucan is oats. One portion of muesli (50g) provides about 0.6g of beta-glucan and therefore provides you with 20% of your daily beta-glucan requirement.
Why muesli from Verival?
Quality and careful handling of all ingredients, from cultivation to processing, is our top priority. That's why we only use high-quality organic ingredients in our Verival Heritage Grains Mueslis. By growing original cereal varieties, we also contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and counteract the lack of varieties.
What are Heritage Grains?
With the cultivation and use of so-called heritage grains, we want to make an active contribution to preserving biodiversity and counteracting the impoverishment of varieties. Original grains are indigenous grain varieties that were already being grown before industrialisation entered European agriculture. The plants are therefore left in their original, natural form and not altered by various breeding methods. Together with our organic contract farmers, we make sure that these grains are cultivated, cared for, harvested and processed in a gentle way.
Where does the original Bircher recipe actually come from?
The recipe comes from Maximilian Oskar Bircher-Benner, who spread the Bircher muesli more than 120 years ago. During a hike in Switzerland, where he comes from, the doctor was served a muesli mixture that was already very similar to Bircher muesli. His enthusiasm was so great that in 1900 he created his own perfected mixture and thus the famous Bircher Muesli. From then on, doctor Bircher-Benner served this healthy breakfast daily to his patients as a healthy dietary meal.
