Good morning from Salzburg
August 1, 2019- Good Morning from

Many people associate Salzburg with Wolfgang A. Mozart, the Salzburg Festival or tourist masses on the tracks of The Sound of music. Salzburg has a lot to offer historically and culturally, including countless churches, castles, museums, exhibitions and events. But it is above all the charming alleyways, beautiful squares, gardens and parks that invite you to stay. The mix of old and new, cosy and elegant.
For our colleague Katrin, a native of Salzburg, there is nothing better than to walk over the bridges of the Salzach River or over the mountains Mönchsberg or Kapuzinerberg on a Saturday morning, to enjoy the view of Salzburg’s old town and the fortress above and of course to start the weekend with a cosy breakfast.
Salzburg also has a lot to offer in terms of culinary delights. From classic to unusual breakfast variations in industrial to modern ambience. Our favourite cafés are therefore constantly changing. That’s why we would like to introduce you to our current favourites:

Our current favourite breakfast spots in Salzburg:
220 Grad
220 Grad is a specialty coffee roasters in Salzburg. Coffee lovers can participate in their coffee seminars, which are held in their roasting plant on Maxglaner Hauptstraße. There you can learn everything you need to know about coffee, from growing it to preparing it properly.
In addition to its roasting plant, there are two cafés in Salzburg’s old town and on Nonntaler Hauptstraße, where you can choose from different breakfast menus. What the two cafés have in common are high-quality products from selected Austrian producers, many organic and homemade foods, such as jam and bread.
The family business has a unique industrial look, with unplastered walls and exposed pipes mixed with stylish furniture. In cooperation with the Viennese designer Franz Riebenauer they wonderfully staged their cafés, such as the old engine workshop which today houses the roasting plant. The ambience mixed with friendly staff and delicious breakfast variations provide a unique breakfast experience.
